I guess at this rate, he should be Hottie of the Month, or maybe Hottie of the Summer, since I don't post these that often. I think if I post one each week, that just belittles the ones I choose. Then again, if I post one a week, that's more hot guys to watch out for! Hmm, dilemmas.
This is Jared Padalecki, of the TV show "Supernatural," that I've never watched. Might have to check it out now. (He's formerly of "Gilmore Girls," too.) I just saw the latest "Friday the 13th" installment. #12! Do you believe it? It's a pretty good horror movie. No surprises, nothing new, just a well-made, well-acted, kill-all-the-teenagers bloodbath-in-the-dark kind of movie.
But it's also got Danielle Panabaker (Shark's daughter in the old TV show of the same name) and Amanda Righetti (now of "The Mentalist"), both of which I like very much. And if you know me at all, you know I'm really picky on the actresses I like. Don't like many.
If you like hot guys, though, "Friday the 13th" is well worth the rental fee just for Jared. But don't get upset, coz he's not even in the first half-hour of the movie. Still good, tho. This movie harkens back to the first two, which were just plain ole horror movies, nothing too crazy, with lots of teenagers having sex and pretending to be camping. Still worth it for the actual "actors" in it, not to be confused with the soft-porn stars for the non-acting parts! lol.

The Rose Diaries
The Rose Diaries
A rose bush came with our house when we bought it. We've never done anything with it. People say roses are hard, so we didn't bother. They always bloomed except for last year, when there was only one flower on it. I think that's because the previous hear someone had run over the bush with the lawn mower.
But this year, wow, it just bloomed all over the place. The branches and roses are heavy so the whole thing just sagged to the ground. I didn't think that was very attractive so I decided to get a trellis for it.
Have you priced trellises lately? A 4-foot 3-pronged single-sided metal one from Lowe's was over $10, and I wanted more than just a single-sided one. Thought about putting two or three together, but rejected that for price reasons.
Decided to make my own for a few bucks and a few wooden dowels and ta-da. Here it is.
I figure since I paid attention to it, the roses will most certainly die now. Oh well...

Always a comedy routine...
On Sunday, I planted a small azalea plant my sister gave me. Pretty, eh? Always a comedy routine...
Even though it had been raining, the ground was pretty hard, so I dug out my dad's old pick axe, which of course, broke with my first swing.
The handle was completely rotted out. I'm afraid it's not the only tool in the shed that's like that. I'll have to buy new tools, which has it's advantages!

Fancy Nancy by Mike Huckabee
Here's a story about a lady named Nancy Fancy Nancy by Mike Huckabee
A ruthless politician, but dressed very fancy
Very ambitious, she got herself elected Speaker
But as for keeping secrets, she proved quite a "leaker."
She flies on government planes coast to coast
And doesn't mind that our economy is toast
She makes the Air Force squire her in their military jets
There's room for her family, her staff, and even her pets.
Until now, she annoyed us, but her gaffes were mostly funny;
Even though it was painful to watch her waste our tax money.
But now her wacky comments are no laughing matter;
She's either unwilling to tell the truth, or she's mad as a hatter!
She sat in briefings and knew about enhanced interrogation;
But claims she wasn't there, and can't give an explanation.
She disparages the CIA and says they are a bunch of liars;
Even the press aren't buying it and they're stoking their fires.
I think Speaker Pelosi has done too much speaking;
And instead of her trashing our intelligence officials, it's her nose that needs tweaking.
If forced to believe whether the CIA and her colleagues in Congress are lying;
Or it's Speaker Pelosi whose credibility and career is dying.
I believe in the integrity of the men and women who sacrifice to keep us safe;
Not the woman who has been caught flat-footed, lying to our face.
I say it here and I say it rather clear-
It's time for Nancy Pelosi to resign and get the heck out of here.

No job yet.
Well, not a paying one, anyway. You really get a lot done around the house when you've been laid off. Things like sweeping the pine pollen off the porches, spraying the deck with bug spray to keep the spiders away, killing bumble bees that dive-bomb you when you're coming to the door. Tomorrow, I'm thinking, dye my roots (ha, I never said I was a natural blonde) and spray the driveway with weed killer?! Oooh fun! Oh, and send out a few resumes. I seriously need a road trip! Anybody want to go camping?
No job yet.

Consider me unemployed.
I got laid off. It sucks big time. I actually pretty much liked that job. I was totally blind-sided on this one. Didn't see it coming. They'd save way more money if they got rid of certain publishers that can't even update the online calendar as to what is printing when. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! If you can even figure out a computer and Google enough to even FIND this blog! ha! Consider me unemployed.
Oh, but I'm not bitter.
Perhaps I can become a published author now that I have time to write. And edit. And fool around on Facebook.

When in Rome...
Okay, I give up. I did it. I joined Facebook. I seriously see it taking up ALL of my time! It's very addictive. And you can find all sorts of people from your past. Which can be good and bad. But you can also annoy people, which is kinda fun sometimes. So if you don't wanna be found, don't go there! Otherwise.... watch out for the Pillow Fights!

To Facebook or Not to Facebook
Pondering whether to sign up on Facebook. It seems everyone I went to high school with is hanging around there. So if I want to hook up with them, that's the place to be. But wait, most of them treated me like crap in high school. Are these people I want to associate with anyway? Just coz we're adults? Who says they aren't still assholes? Well, thanks to Classmates.com, I've found the few people I actually LIKED back then. So... dilemma, dilemma. Do I want to show them who has become a better person, or do I just not care enough to try? Hm. Are any of them worth it?
